Basketball Recap: Desert Ridge Comes Up Short

Desert Ridge suffered their biggest loss since December 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 56-32 to the Red Mountain Mountain Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-46 back in November of 2024.

It was another big night for Drew Hall, who went 8 of 12 en route to 17 points along with seven boards and six assists for Red Mountain. Bjorn Molenaar was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 10 points and seven rebounds.

Desert Ridge now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Red Mountain, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Desert Ridge has already played their next game, a 71-36 defeat against Higley on the 17th. As for Red Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-58 win against Horizon on the 15th.
