Softball Game Preview: Warsaw Tigers vs. Hornell Red Raiders

Warsaw is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Hornell a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Warsaw Tigers will welcome the Hornell Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m. Warsaw has given up an average of 6.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Warsaw is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell 11-7 to Le Roy on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Hornell's offense. They lost 10-0 to Wayland-Cohocton on Wednesday.

Hornell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allisa Haley, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Hornell's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Warsaw, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Warsaw beat Hornell 7-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Red Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
