Recap: Streator Bulldogs vs. Herscher Tigers
This season hasn't been kind to the Streator Bulldogs, who are still winless after their sixth game. They took a 23-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of Herscher. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Streator in their matchups with Herscher: they've now lost three in a row.
Shantell Morton and Ava Gwaltney certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Morton scored 2 points along with 14 rebounds, while Gwaltney scored 9 points.
Streator's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Herscher, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Streator will challenge Henry-Senachwine at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Herscher, they will head out on the road to face off against Grace Christian Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
