Basketball Recap: Forbes Road's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Wednesday

Forbes Road won the last time they faced Northern Bedford County and things went their way on Wednesday too. Forbes Road came out on top against the Northern Bedford County Panthers by a score of 78-60 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). Given Forbes Road's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while Northern Bedford County is ranked 676th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northern Bedford County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Alex Kochara, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points. Kochara is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Wesley Horsh was another key player, putting up 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Forbes Road's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Northern Bedford County, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Forbes Road and Claysburg-Kimmel will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. As for Northern Bedford County, they will welcome Tussey Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
