Baseball Game Recap: Catasauqua Rough Riders vs. Palisades Pirates

Catasauqua extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-16 in the process. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 31-15 to the Palisades Pirates, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 1, 2022, but that streak is no more.

As for Palisades, they now have a winning record of 9-8. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 7.4 runs per game.

For Palisades' part, they got a massive performance out of Greg Borgeson, who got on base in six of his seven plate appearances with seven RBI, four runs, and three doubles. Borgeson has become a key player for the Pirates: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Anderson Hsu, who went 4-for-7 with six RBI and four runs.

Catasauqua has already played their next matchup, a 7-1 defeat against Saucon Valley on the 30th. As for Palisades, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-6 loss against Notre Dame-Green Pond on the 30th.
