Kapolei is a perfect 4-0 against McKinley since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Hurricanes will be playing at home against the Tigers at 3:00 p.m. Kapolei's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so McKinley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Last Friday, Kapolei didn't have quite enough to beat Wai'anae and fell 2-1. The match marked the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McKinley). They walked away with a 7-4 victory over Kaimuki on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Michael Murata, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kayton Adaro, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

McKinley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Kapolei, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Kapolei took their win against McKinley in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Hurricanes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
