Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Dorman's Tenth in Last 11 Outings

Dorman won the last time they faced Spartanburg and things went their way on Friday too. The Dorman Cavaliers took down the Spartanburg Vikings 60-45. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Vikings are ranked 65th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dorman has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Spartanburg, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-13.

When Dorman and Spartanburg next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Dorman will square off against Gaffney and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dorman is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. Similarly, Spartanburg will try to stop James F. Byrnes' 21-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
