Softball Recap: Chesapeake Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

The matchup between Chesapeake and Grace Christian on Saturday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Panthers blew past Grace Christian 18-8. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Chesapeake got a massive performance out of Angel Hundley, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Hundley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaydence Easthom, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.

Chesapeake's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Grace Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Chesapeake will have a chance to go back-to-back against Grace Christian: the pair will be back at it again later today.
