Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midway). They put the hurt on the Northeast Vernon County Knights with a sharp 20-2 win on Tuesday. While the Vikings didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Midway's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Northeast Vernon County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Midway beat the Knights by a score of 15-5 later that day.
