Basketball Recap: Little Elm Takes a Loss

Little Elm entered their contest against Guyer on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Little Elm Lobos were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to the Guyer Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lobos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-51 on January 3rd.

Little Elm lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kensington Candler, who went 8 of 16 on his way to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Eli Fegans, who went 5 for 8 en route to 11 points.

Little Elm's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-8. As for Guyer, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Little Elm will welcome Marcus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marcus will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Little Elm surely won't give up without a fight. As for Guyer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lewisville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Guyer is facing Lewisville at the right time seeing as Lewisville is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
