Softball Recap: Marion County Mustangs vs. Canton Tigers
Marion County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Canton Tigers, falling 7-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 17-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Marion County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleigh Schaefer, who went 1-for-2 with a stolen base.
Marion County's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Canton, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

As for Canton, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Monroe City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monroe City will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Canton surely won't give up without a fight.
