Plainfield North and Minooka are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2018, but not for long. The Tigers will face off against the Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Plainfield North took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Joliet Central.

Plainfield North not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Joliet Central between 18 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Minooka waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 2-0.

Minooka never let Plainfield South on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 26-24.

Plainfield North's win bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Minooka, their victory bumped their record up to 22-10.

Plainfield North skirted past Minooka 2-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
