Volleyball Recap: Faith Academy Takes a Loss

If Faith Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mary G. Montgomery on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell just short of the Davidson Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Faith Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kyleigh Grosz had 11 digs and two aces.

Faith Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Davidson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Faith Academy has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Foley on the 5th. As for Davidson, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against St. Paul's Episcopal at 6:30 p.m.
