Baseball Recap: Moriah Comes Up Short

Moriah lost against Plattsburgh back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings came up short against the Hornets, falling 16-8. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joe Pelkey was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Mascarenas, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Moriah's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Plattsburgh, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Plattsburgh will square off against Saranac Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Moriah will be paying especially close attention to the Hornets' matchup: after the Hornets face off against the Red Storm, they'll take on Moriah again at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
