Baseball Game Preview: Oconomowoc Raccoons vs. Sun Prairie West Wolves

The Oconomowoc Raccoons will face off against the Sun Prairie West Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Oconomowoc will be strutting in after a victory while Sun Prairie West will be coming in after a loss.

While Oconomowoc's win against Slinger wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raccoons had just enough and edged out the Owls 8-6. The Raccoons haven't had any issues with the Owls recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Marek Bolson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Jackson Reno was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Sun Prairie West's offense. They fell just short of Sun Prairie East by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The win got Oconomowoc back to even at 1-1. As for Sun Prairie West, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Oconomowoc was able to grind out a solid victory over Sun Prairie West in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 4-1. Will the Raccoons repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
