Baseball Recap: Anthony Comes Up Short

Anthony and Compass Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Anthony had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 17-1. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Anthony saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Rodriguez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Anthony's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Compass Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 29-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cougars beat Anthony by a score of 17-9 later that day.
