Ponderosa got themselves on the board against El Dorado on Tuesday, but El Dorado never followed suit. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the El Dorado Cougars. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Jake Uber made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

Uber wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Snyder, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Ponderosa's record now sits at 2-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ponderosa beat El Dorado by a score of 5-2 on Thursday.
