It was fun while it lasted, but Priory's undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 77-62 to the Half Moon Bay Cougars. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Balazs Nyikos and Jai Gerrodette certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Nyikos dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, while Gerrodette went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jojo Tejuco, who posted nine points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Priory fell to 7-1. As for Half Moon Bay, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Priory Panthers face off against the Los Gatos Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on December 21st. Priory knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Los Gatos likes a good challenge. As for Half Moon Bay, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Mary's at 5:00 p.m. on December 26th.
