Charlottesville has gone 10-0 against Monticello recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Charlottesville Black Knights will challenge the Monticello Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Charlottesville was able to grind out a solid win over Amherst County, taking the game 61-49.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monticello, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Nelson County with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 61-46.

Monticello found their leader in sophomore Rae Sanchez, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Davis, who posted 13 points.

Monticello was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory got Charlottesville back to even at 4-4. As for Monticello, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Charlottesville strolled past Monticello in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 63-48. Will Charlottesville repeat their success, or does Monticello have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
