Softball Recap: Cape Cod RVT Takes a Loss

Cape Cod RVT extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-7. They came up short against the Bristol County Agricultural Chieftains, falling 13-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chieftains this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-4 two weeks ago.

As for Bristol County Agricultural, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.9 runs over those games.

For Bristol County Agricultural's part, Autumn Nicholson was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Znoj, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cape Cod RVT will face off against Upper Cape Cod RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Bristol County Agricultural, they will square off against Norfolk County Agricultural at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.11 runs per game on average), something the Chieftains will no doubt try to take advantage of.
