Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Napoleon walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Wauseon Indians on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-4 on May 10th.

Owen Espinoza spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Trey Rubinstein was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.

Napoleon is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Wauseon, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-13 record.

As of now, neither Napoleon nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
