Volleyball Recap: Lyman Comes Up Short

Lyman came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Highmore/Harrold Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

While Lyman ultimately came up short, they really made Highmore/Harrold work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-19, 25-21.

Lyman's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Highmore/Harrold, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Lyman will square off against Belle Fourche at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders are on a three-game streak of home losses, and the Broncs a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck. As for Highmore/Harrold, they will take on Stanley County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
