Truman hadn't done well against Excelsior Springs recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Patriots never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Truman might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by three goals or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Truman and bumps their season record up to 8-2. As for Excelsior Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Truman will challenge Platte County at 6:30 p.m. on October 8. As for Excelsior Springs, they will square off against Smithville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
