Basketball Recap: Mount Hope Christian Academy Takes a Loss

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-44, which was the final score in the Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors's tilt against the Oak Hill Red Devils on Monday.

Despite the loss, Mount Hope Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman MCKENNA JONES went 10 for 15 en route to 22 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was ACACIA BLEDSOE, who posted 12 points.

Mount Hope Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Oak Hill, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Independence the next time they take the court. Mount Hope Christian Academy will host Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Oak Hill will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st.
