Basketball Recap: Ashe County's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Apex Friendship, Ashe County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 60-52 victory over the Jordan-Matthews Jets. The win was some much needed relief for the Huskies as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ashe County's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Jordan-Matthews, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Ashe County will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Surry at 8:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Jordan-Matthews will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Bartlett Yancey at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
