Volleyball Recap: Francis W. Parker Find Success + How To Watch

Francis W. Parker posted their closest victory since August 29th on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the North Shore Country Day Raiders. The victory continues a trend for the Colonels in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won three in a row.

Francis W. Parker had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-14, 25-17.

Lilah Weed was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had six kills, four digs, and three blocks. Those six kills gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lizette Velazquez, who had eight digs and two aces.

Francis W. Parker was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.

The win got Francis W. Parker back to even at 6-6. As for North Shore Country Day, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
