Softball Game Preview: Southside Christian Sabres vs. Powdersville Patriots

The Southside Christian Sabres will head out on the road to take on the Powdersville Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

If Southside Christian beats Powdersville with 19 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Sabres blew past Eastside 19-9 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sabres.

Meanwhile, while Powdersville put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for St. Joseph's Catholic. The Patriots didn't even let the Knights on the board, marking the Patriots' second-straight 18-0 shutout. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Southside Christian's record now sits at 8-4. As for Powdersville, their record is now 10-7.

Southside Christian might still be hurting after the 19-0 loss they got from Powdersville in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Sabres avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
