Softball Game Preview: Blanco Panthers vs. Florence Buffaloes

For the second straight game, Blanco will face off against Florence. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Blanco has 17 straight wins, Florence has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, Blanco got the win against Florence by a conclusive 18-3. Considering the Panthers have won 12 matchups by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Florence's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laney Ellis, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Ellis also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Blanco pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Florence, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
