Baseball Recap: Malone Takes a Loss

Malone and Sneads squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Malone had to settle for second. They lost 14-2 to the Pirates. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Malone saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Burch, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Malone's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Sneads, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Malone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sneads, they will face off against Cottondale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
