Baseball Game Preview: South-Doyle Cherokees vs. Anderson County Mavericks

The South-Doyle Cherokees will square off against the Anderson County Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Anderson County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on South-Doyle, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, South-Doyle was able to grind out a solid victory over Pigeon Forge, taking the game 8-5.

The team relied heavily on Hunter Tipton, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of South-Doyle's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 8-14-1 when he doesn't).
