Volleyball Game Preview: Perryton Rangers vs. Hereford Whitefaces

Perryton hasn't had much luck against Hereford recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Rangers will take on the Whitefaces at 12:00 p.m.

Perryton came up short against Pampa on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Perryton was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 14 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-14.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hereford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Borger on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Whitefaces as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Hereford had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-23, 25-14, 25-21.

Perryton better focus on containing Kyndall Valdez and Kaydence Ramirez as the pair were huge in Hereford's win. Valdez had 17 digs and two aces, while Ramirez had 14 digs.

Perryton's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Hereford, the win got them back to even at 14-14.

Perryton might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Hereford in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Rangers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
