Scripps Ranch had already won ten in a row and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23, 21-25, 27-25.

Despite the loss, Academy of Our Lady of Peace still got an impressive performance from Amanda Guzman, who had 28 digs and one assist. Guzman has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Scripps Ranch's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, they moved to 12-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
