Football Game Preview: Bronxville Broncos vs. Putnam Valley Tigers

The Bronxville Broncos will face off against the Putnam Valley Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Friday, Bronxville made easy work of Pearl River and carried off a 41-21 win. Fans of the Broncos have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Brian Formato went supernova, rushing for 200 yards and one TD while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Formato is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 190 every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Theo McMurray, who rushed for 58 yards and a pair of scores.

Bronxville's run defense was locked in: Pearl River could only muster 2.4 yards per carry. The Broncos didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.6.

Meanwhile, Putnam Valley's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 27-14 victory over Briarcliff/Hamilton.

Putnam Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Bronxville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Bronxville skirted past Putnam Valley 2-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2021. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
