Baseball Recap: Port Clinton Takes a Loss

Port Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 4-1 to the St. Mary Central Catholic Panthers. If the Redskins were looking for revenge after losing 12-1 to the Panthers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Danny Baker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Port Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. Mary Central Catholic, the win (which was their fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Port Clinton and St. Mary Central Catholic will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Redskins will take on rival Margaretta at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, St. Mary Central Catholic is set to square off against their familiar foe St. Joseph Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
