Basketball Recap: Thunder Ridge Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Thunder Ridge entered their tilt with Rigby on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Rigby Trojans 61-44. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 45-40 on January 7th.

Thunder Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Camden Bateman, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Bateman has posted since back in December of 2024. Deegan Branson was another key player, putting up 13 points and seven boards.

Thunder Ridge's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-8. As for Rigby, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Thunder Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-57 defeat against Madison on the 27th. Rigby has also already played their next game, a 60-58 loss against Pocatello on the 25th.
