Recap: Ogilvie Lions vs. Cromwell Cardinals

It was a good run, but the Ogilvie Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak on Monday. They were beaten by Cromwell 81-45. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ogilvie has scored all season.

Isabella Anderson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cromwell, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emaleigh Olesiak, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds.

Ogilvie's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2. As for Cromwell, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ogilvie won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pine City at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Pine City is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Cromwell, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against McGregor at 7:15 p.m. McGregor is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
