Football Recap: Mount Paran Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mount Paran Christian had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-3 to make it four. They were beaten by the Whitefield Academy WolfPack 55-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

As for Whitefield Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 28 points or more this season.

Mason Hollingsworth had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 142 yards and five scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Hollingsworth is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 115 every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Fernando George, who rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mount Paran Christian will face off against rival Walker at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Whitefield Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Business Engineering Science Tech at 7:30 p.m. on October 10.
