Basketball Recap: Grosse Ile Takes a Loss

Grosse Ile lost against St. Mary Catholic Central back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Grosse Ile Red Devils took a blow against the St. Mary Catholic Central Falcons/Kestrels, falling 62-32. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while the Falcons/Kestrels are ranked 22nd).

Grosse Ile dropped their record down to 5-15 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for St. Mary Catholic Central, the win keeps them at an undefeated 19-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grosse Ile will host Summerfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Mary Catholic Central, they will welcome Plymouth Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
