Preview: Richmond Heights Spartans vs. Beaumont School Blue Streaks
The Richmond Heights Spartans's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Beaumont School Blue Streaks at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Richmond Heights will be strutting in after a win while Beaumont School will be coming in after a loss.
Chagrin Falls typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Richmond Heights proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 55-44 win over the Tigers.
Beaumont School blew Lake Catholic out of the water the last time the pair played, but on WednesdayLake Catholic got their revenge. Beaumont School fell just short of Lake Catholic by a score of 27-25. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Beaumont School came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Lake Catholic is ranked 481st).
Despite their loss, Beaumont School saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Mackenizie Callender, who scored six points along with seven rebounds, was perhaps the best of all.
Richmond Heights has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Beaumont School, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.
