Basketball Recap: Georgia Military College Takes a Loss

Georgia Military College was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. The match between them and the Lake Oconee Academy Titans didn't end well, with the Georgia Military College Bulldogs falling 52-35. The contest was a 19-19 toss-up at halftime, but the Bulldogs couldn't quite close it out.

When it comes to explaining why Georgia Military College lost, don't look at Benjamin Vaughn. Despite the final result, he posted ten points. Logan McMillan was another key player, putting up six points.

Torin Maddox was his usual excellent self, going 10 for 19 on his way to 28 points for Lake Oconee Academy. The team also got some help courtesy of Canon Mullen, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Georgia Military College's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Lake Oconee Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Georgia Military College will welcome Wilkinson County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Oconee Academy, they will take on Bethlehem Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Oconee Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season.
