Soccer Game Preview: Hernando vs. Tupelo

Hernando is 1-8 against Tupelo since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Golden Wave at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Tupelo better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Hernando's game last Thursday is any indication, that's when Hernando really gets things going. The Tigers' defense stepped up to hand Tupelo Christian Prep a 4-0 shutout. Hernando's winning goal came courtesy of Emery Allison.

Meanwhile, Tupelo narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Saltillo 2-1.

Tupelo's victory bumped their record up to 5-1-1. As for Hernando, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
