Softball Recap: Clovis Comes Up Short

Clovis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Highland Scots.

Clovis' defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Highland, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-5-2.

Clovis and Highland could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Cougars (ranked 411th) will meet Clovis West (ranked 49th) at 6:30 p.m. on the 23rd. Meanwhile, Highland will square off against Hanford West at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (128 vs. 36).
