Basketball Recap: Schroon Lake Drops Season-High Score on Boquet Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Schroon Lake). They secured a 60-56 W over the Boquet Valley Griffins on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 32-29 back in December of 2024.

Boquet Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Claire Reynolds, who went 9 for 18 en route to 25 points and three steals. Reynolds' evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sophie Pulsifer, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine assists.

Schroon Lake's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Boquet Valley, they dropped their record down to 8-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Lake Placid the next time they take the court. Schroon Lake will host Lake Placid at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Boquet Valley will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on February 7th.
