Pueblo East waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Sand Creek Scorpions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Ashlynn Koch paced Pueblo East's offense, picking up seven kills. Koch got some help from Cheyanne Ortiz and her 19 assists. Finally, Layla Valdez kept Pueblo East's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Pueblo East's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Sand Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Coincidentally, Pueblo East and Sand Creek will both be playing Fountain-Fort Carson the next time they take the court. The Scorpions will head out to face the Trojans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
