Football Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Lakewood's offense. They were beaten by the Edison Chargers 31-0 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Lancers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Kade Casillas threw for 116 yards on eight of 13 attempts. Kagiso Boikanyo was his top target, picking up 62 receiving yards.

Among those leading the charge was Sam Thomson, who threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes.

Lakewood now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Edison, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Lakewood has already played their next game, a 35-7 win against Mayfair on the 12th. As for Edison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 21-20 victory against Palos Verdes on the 12th.
