Soccer Game Preview: Rosemount vs. Shakopee

The Rosemount Irish will head out to take on the Shakopee Sabers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Rosemount is headed into the contest having not lost since August 21 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Lakeville North get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Monday. That's two games straight that Rosemount have won by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shakopee). They blew past Burnsville 4-0 on Monday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Shakopee considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

Rosemount is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-1-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Shakopee, their record now sits at 6-4-4.
