Basketball Recap: Mentor Christian Comes Up Short

Mentor Christian was the 66-60 winner over Lawrence Upper when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Mentor Christian fell 63-51 to the Lawrence Upper Lions on Thursday.

Dominic Bell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lawrence Upper, putting up 41 points. Bell's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Carmichael, who posted six points.

Mentor Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lawrence Upper, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mentor Christian and HEARTS for Jesus Christ will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Lawrence Upper has already played their next game (against Christian Community), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
