Baseball Recap: Penn Cambria Comes Up Short

Penn Cambria and Central squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Penn Cambria had to settle for second. They fell 7-4 to the Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 two weeks ago.

Penn Cambria saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Gibbons, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another was Grant Gides, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Penn Cambria and nudges their season record down to 11-8. As for Central, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

As of now, neither Penn Cambria nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
