Baseball Recap: Theodore Takes a Loss

Theodore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Michael Catholic Cardinals. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Zyddrick Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Kemmeter, who scored a run.

Theodore's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for St. Michael Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Theodore will take on Bryant at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Michael Catholic, they will square off against Cottonwood at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
