Softball Recap: May River Sharks vs. Beaufort Eagles
May River won against Bluffton last Monday with 18 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. Everything went May River's way against the Beaufort Eagles as May River made off with an 18-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.
May River got a great performance from Caydon Swofford as she didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Olivia Nagel, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She is also on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played.
